36 SunPower 327W modules with built-in micro inverters, for a total of 11,772W system.
They wanted to build a system that will take care of their current electrical needs as well as future needs as they consider heat pumps or an EV. So we put 24 modules in for them and they will sell the power from the other 12 modules to a neighbor, until next year when they expand their needs….
It also has a storage component.
Here is an eco14 sonnenBatterie. It has an 8,000W continuous use capability and stores 14kWh’s of energy. If they have a power outage they will run their protected loads off the battery and during the day the solar will either run those loads or power the battery. A lot quieter than a generator and requires no fossil fuels or maintenance. (and you don’t have to fire up a generator out in the snow!)
